At your Business Phone Systems you can say “Bob, we need your help up front.” and that will go out through the speakers in the warehouse, “Bob, we need your help up front.” So that speaker system, or an intercom system is considered a station. You can also have, when you go to an apartment building, and you have a little front door, and you have one of those little callboxes. That is a station.
So when you are dealing in the telephone world, telephones aren’t really always telephones. Telephones are stations. So stations can be the telephone that you are use to, it can be some kind of intercom system, it can be that callbox up front. All of these things will connect back to a PBX and calls will be routed accordingly. So basically, with this callbox here, you can route in the PBX and say that if anybody presses this button on the callbox, that is going to ring the secretary’s desk. And so when somebody presses the callbox, that will actually ring the secretary’s desk.
